Paper folding relief sculptures! We learned some basic origami folds and then talked about patterns and radial arrangements. These turned out so great!
Kindergarten made these awesome projects based on our "Go Away Big Green Monster" book! We used printmaking techniques to make the monster head. Then we collaged on the different parts for his face! We learned how to cut out so many different shapes!
It's that time of year when most of my classes are doing clay! Each grade level is working on a different skill, see if you can tell which ones in the photos! My hands are usually too dirty to take pictures, so most of these are from glazing!
First grade is creating these beautiful butterflies! We are using a monoprint technique, oil pastel blending, and learning about color relationships!
Look at these amazing projects done in 4th grade! We painted backgrounds, and then sewed around a circle to create unique and awesome patterns. The students were shown how to do some basic line patterns, and then created their own end result with colors of their choosing. These are definitely eye catching!
